Jonah Chapters 3 & 4 Don’t Be a Poor Me Baby! God Wants Champions Not Wimps!

 Jonah 3:1 And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, Jonah Was Slow In Getting to The Party! When God Speaks, It Is Wise To Get Moving! Also Wise Not To Complain or Be A Poor Me Baby as We Shall Learn in Chapters 3 & 4! God Wants Champions! Not WIMPS!👇

Jonah 3:2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.👇

Jonah 3:3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey. It Took About 3 Days Travel to Go from One End to the Other!👇

Jonah 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. 40 is Probation!👇

Jonah 3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. They Thought Jonah was the son of their fish god!👇

Jonah 2:10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. It’s Pretty Obvious that Many of Nineveh were Present When the fish vomited him out! There was NO Hesitation by The Heathen To Obey God! They thought they were getting fish god guidance!👇

Jonah 3:6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. The Entire Heathen Nation Got On Board!👇

Jonah 3:7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: We Have A SERIOUS FAST Taking Place!👇

Jonah 3:8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.👇

Jonah 3:9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?👇

Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. IF ONLY God’s Children Were As COMPLIANT!👇

Joel 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: IF ONLY God’s People Would Do As Nineveh Did!👇

Joel 2:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.👇

Joel 2:12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:👇

Joel 2:13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.👇

Joel 2:14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God? NO God’s Children Are Not Compliant!👇

Exodus 32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:👇

Jonah 4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. Jonah (A Prophet) Was Not a Fan of Nineveh for Down The Road, They would be the Ones That would take The House of Israel Into Captivity!👇

2 Kings 17:6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes. Samaria was the Capital of the House of Israel (10Tribes)!👇

Jonah 4:2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.👇

Jonah 4:3 Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. Not Good to Get Sassy With God or Go Off On A Poor Me Pity Party!👇

Jonah 4:4 Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry? 👇

Jonah 4:5 So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city. Did Jonah Try to Assist The People Further? NO! He was Hoping They Would Fail!👇

Jonah 4:6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. Did Jonah Thank God for The Shadow of the gourd? NO!👇

Jonah 4:7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered. The Lord Giveth! The Lord Taketh Away! You Had Better Thank The Father When He Blesses You!👇

Jonah 4:8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. Poor Poor Jonah! Cry Me A River!👇

Jonah 4:9 And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death. 👇

Jonah 4:10 Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: GOD Doesn’t Like Lazy Servants Or Poor Me Babies! How Are You Doing?👇

Proverbs 18:9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.👇

Jonah 4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle? Nineveh Came To Repentance! How Are You Doing?👇
